Side Events Guide™ (“Side Events Guide”, “SEG”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is an independent online guide to side events and related activity around major international conferences. It helps users discover events, organizers, venues and other useful conference-week information. It is not owned or operated by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the conferences it covers, their organizers, or their partners. Side Events Guide is an unofficial resource and no relationship with any other entity is claimed or should be implied unless specifically and clearly identified.

These terms apply to general use of the website. Side Events Guide does not sell products or services through the website and no paid contract can be concluded through it. Advertising, sponsorship and other commercial arrangements are negotiated individually offsite with business customers and are governed by the relevant proposal, booking confirmation, invoice or other written agreement. If there is a conflict, that specific commercial agreement takes priority for the paid service.

3. What the website provides

Side Events Guide™ collates, organizes, edits, maps and presents information about side events and related conference-week activity. The website is freely available to users and relevant events may be listed free of charge. There is no online store, checkout or mechanism for ordering or buying anything through the site.

We aim to keep information useful and current, but event information can change quickly. Events may be postponed, relocated or cancelled. Dates, times, venues, availability, access conditions, registration requirements, prices, organizers and other details may change after publication. Users should verify important details with the organizer or official registration source before relying on them.

4. Independence, event listings and third-party services

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Side Events Guide is not the organizer, promoter, ticketing provider, venue operator or official representative of events listed on the site. A listing does not create or imply any partnership, agency relationship, endorsement or guarantee.

Registration, ticketing, payment, attendance and participation may take place through third-party websites or directly with event organizers. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their services, availability, security, content, cancellation policies or handling of personal data.

Users are solely responsible for deciding whether an event is suitable for them, confirming relevant information and taking reasonable precautions in relation to attendance, travel, venues, food and drink, networking, third-party offers and other event-related activity. We provide information in good faith from sources we consider reliable, but do not guarantee its suitability, provenance, completeness or accuracy. 5. Event submissions and organizer information

Where the website allows an organizer or other person to submit event information, the submitter confirms that the information is accurate to the best of their knowledge, that they are authorized to submit it, and that they have the rights or permissions needed for any text, images, logos or other material supplied.

By submitting content for publication, the submitter grants Side Events Guide a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, edit for clarity and house style, format, translate where appropriate, display and distribute that material for the purpose of operating, promoting and archiving Side Events Guide and the relevant listing. This license does not transfer ownership of the submitter’s underlying rights.

We may edit, decline, remove, update, merge or reorder listings where reasonably necessary for accuracy, usability, legal compliance, editorial standards or site operation. We do not guarantee that every submitted event will be published or remain published.

Paid promotion, sponsored placements and advertising will be identified in a way intended to distinguish paid prominence from ordinary editorial listing. Payment for visibility does not mean that Side Events Guide endorses an advertiser, organizer, event, claim, product or service.

We may reject, suspend or remove advertising or promotional material that we reasonably consider unlawful, misleading, infringing, unsafe, technically unsuitable or inconsistent with the service.

Except where stated otherwise, copyright and all applicable rights in the website design, original written content, graphics, branding, software, selection and arrangement of material, and other original Side Events Guide™ material are owned by or licensed to the website operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. All rights reserved.

Conference, event and organization names and trademarks are used to identify and describe the relevant conferences, events, organizations and context. Event facts and third-party material may belong to or originate from organizers, venues, conference operators or other sources. Third-party trademarks, logos and other protected material remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on Side Events Guide™ does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, partnership or official status.

You may use the website for normal personal and professional reference. You may link to public pages and share individual listings. You may not, without permission or another lawful basis, systematically copy, scrape, extract, republish, sell, mirror or create a substitute database or service from a substantial part of the site or database, or bypass technical measures intended to protect the service.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use the website to break the law, infringe another person’s rights, introduce malicious code, interfere with the site or its infrastructure, attempt unauthorized access, impersonate another person or organization, submit deliberately false or misleading information, or use automated systems in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on the service.
