A New Hope
A new web is dawning upon us: the decentralized web. With everything new, the rules have not been made yet. We have a real chance of doing something different this time. It’s like 1994 again, but better!
As the decentralized web enthusiasts as we are, we’re organizing this after-hours discussion about the decentralized web, during the Web Summit 2017.
Discussion topic
We would like to discuss the decentralized web with likeminded enthusiasts. That is why we have set some discussion points for this evening:
What does the decentralized web need to become a real alternative for the current web?
Should the decentralized web provide everyday services like email and web hosting or not?
Which pitfalls should we be careful about not to make the same mistakes as the current web?
How do we prevent the decentralized web becoming just a hideout for criminals and dissidents?
