About this event

We got the chance to have a great speaker with an awesome talk so we thought we couldn’t let this opportunity slip! We’re holding an extra event, as we have already planned another meetup on November 13th, by Matthew Skelton (https://www.meetup.com/DevOps-Lisbon/events/242127726/) on Team Design.

This event starts at 19:00 and the talk will start at 19:15 sharp, please be on time!

We’ll also have, as always, drinks and snacks at the end.

Talk: Moving 65,000 Microsofties to DevOps with Visual Studio Team Services

How do you migrate over 65,000 of the most demanding software engineers from infrastructure built up over decades of high-intensity work into a common engineering system based on modern software development technologies and best practices? This is exactly the challenge faced by Microsoft as they moved to their One Engineering system. Come and hear about how they did it and the lessons they learned along the way.

Martin Woodward is a group program manager at the Visual Studio Team Services product group at Microsoft as well as the vice-president of .Net Foundation. He was also part of the teams responsible for bringing Git into Visual Studio as well as the eclipse and cross platform tooling for Team Foundation Server.

So we have two incredible speakers with two relevant topics in November. We truly hope we can join us in both events!
