Innovazing and Mavasive Leadership Institute are in Lisbon for Web Summit from Washington D.C. We are super excited to host an interactive workshop and collaborative gathering of innovative leaders and changemakers on Wednesday, November 7th, from 9 am — 12 pm at one of Lisbon’s newest and most unique coworking spaces, NKOOWOORK, just a 3-minute ride from Web Summit. Are you passionate about making an impact but feel distant from those you are actually meant to serve? Do you feel like you haven’t stepped into the leader you’re meant to be?
In our Leadership for Changemakers mini workshop, you’ll discover powerful leadership tools that, when fully embraced, create the conditions for people to move together from vision to action in extraordinary new ways. Whether you’re hoping to start a new project or already leading a social impact initiative, this workshop will help you understand your highest impact leadership style, gain an appreciation of how your interior condition serves as a foundation for intentional leadership, and remove any blocks that keep you from your maximum impact. You’ll walk away with an Epic Impact Plan with manageable steps to propel you forward as you walk your walk in the world.
After the workshop, we will facilitate a Changemakers Collective where everyone will get to share what they are working on through an “Ask and Offer” collaborative gathering. This is a meaningful way for everyone to get to know each other, share resources, find accountability partners, and most importantly, get out of our comfort zones.

Facilitators:
Saleema Vellani is the Co-Founder and COO of Innovazing, which is an education and leadership development firm that provides training on design thinking, social innovation, and diversity and inclusion. Saleema is also the Co-Founder of Mavasive Leadership Institute, which provides leadership training on emotional intelligence using neuroscience tools and techniques through its customized programs for individuals and organizations. Aside from launching five fast-growing ventures across four countries, including Brazil’s largest and top-rated Portuguese school and a website translation business, she has also provided consulting for over 12 years to a wide spectrum of organizations, including Upwork, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the World Bank. Saleema teaches Entrepreneurship at Johns Hopkins University and plays an advisory role on a variety of boards for organizations encouraging the empowerment of women and youth, including Johns Hopkins University SAIS Women’s Alumni Network. She also co-leads the World Bank Group’s largest and most inclusive mentorship program for young professionals and has won numerous awards for her work in social innovation. Fluent in five languages, Saleema is most passionate about empowering underserved communities and emerging markets through technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Grant is the Co-Founder and CEO of Mavasive Leadership Institute, which provides leadership development training to individuals and organizations to strengthen the four core competencies of emotional intelligence: perception, empathy, resilience, and intuition. He is also the Co-Founder and CEO of Innovazing, which provides innovative workshops to entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers globally. Grant has over two decades of experience as an entrepreneur as well as in the government and private sector. He pioneered a revolutionary model, the PERI Model™, which is a holistic approach that blends emotional intelligence skills for effective leadership. In addition to being a certified Life and Leadership Coach, Grant is a certified Project Management Professional, Six Sigma train
