We’re hosting Pop-Up House of Scandinavia, Powered by SAS and Startup Guide, on November 5th at our brand new store at NOW_Beato in Lisbon!
The event will serve as the official gathering point for the Nordic startup community at Web Summit, offering a chance for entrepreneurs to meet, network and participate in thought-leadership programs.
If you’re in town for Web Summit, Europe’s largest tech event which takes place in Lisbon from November 4th-8th, come enjoy a bite from our Smörgåsbord and mingle with some of Scandinavia’s brightest tech minds.
Program:
09:00 to 12:00 — Scandinavian Breakfast
Start your day with a free coffee and pastry, browse through the newly-launched Startup Guide store, then pick up the latest copy of Scandinavian Traveler magazine and chill out in the community space.
13:00 to 14:30 — Lunch & Learn: Hacking Web Summit Workshop
An introduction to Web Summit for first-timers and returning attendees alike, with tips and strategies to make the most of your experience. Fuel up on know-how over lunch in preparation for the week ahead.Presented by Business Sweden
15:00 to 15:30 — Lisbon Startup Tour
An introduction to Startup Guide by founder and CEO Sissel Hansen, including a tour of the space and a Q&A for participants. This stop is part of an exclusive tour organised by Beta-i, but all are welcome to join for the presentation.
16:00 to 18:00 — Nordic Community Meetup
Meet with tech and startup enthusiasts from around the world who are in town for Web Summit, and learn more about what the Nordic region has to offer for entrepreneurs. Featuring a sneak peek at the upcoming Startup Guide Nordics book, insights on the Nordic startup scene from Sonia Kaurah (Community Manager at SUP46 in Stockholm), and a concept pitch from Love Dager (Hackathon Manager at Hack for Sweden).
18:00 to 19:00 — Panel discussion: “How startups can engage corporates to drive innovation with purpose”
Innovation follows when startups and corporates work together with a shared vision and purpose. But how do startups identify and connect with the right partners, and how can these relationships lead to meaningful and mutually beneficial outcomes? Speaking on this topic in a moderated discussion will be Ann Rosenberg, SVP & Global Head of SAP Next-Gen, Sissel Hansen (Startup Guide), and Sonia Kaurah (Community Manager at SUP46).
19:00 to 22:00 — Nordic Icebreaker Party
Kick off the first night of Web Summit before the program starts with an evening of networking over music, food and drinks!
