About this event
OpenClaw and Hermes are great but BehalfBot says “hold my beer.” It’s the co-founder a solo founder is missing, built from eight months of running a real business on it.
So you set up OpenClaw or Hermes with the intention of having a full-time executive assistant. How is that working out for you?
You are building a business on your own. You are the CEO, the developer, the marketer and the support desk, and you are spread thin in the early days doing a million tasks having to make decisions about where to allocate your time. A blank agent hands you a new piece of work instead of delivering on the promise of offloading work: you have to pick the skills, wire up the tools, sort out the memory, then work out all the integrations and how you’re going to use it.
Hermes and OpenClaw are harnesses that extended to become EA’s by adding enough scaffolding around it but at their core they’re vanilla blank-slate operating systems architected to cater to everyone and agnostic of use case.
BehalfBot took the other approach. It’s custom scaffolding around Claude Code that emerged from real-world usage to perfectly serve the needs of the bootstrapped solopreneur. I’ve used it for the past eight months to build and run this site and others. The frameworks, systems, skills and tools in it are in there because I needed them, so it is opinionated by design. It grew out of daily use, not a technical specification.
You benefit not just from the tech but from the best practices and entrepreneurial frameworks that are baked into the chassis.
Think of it as the solopreneur’s ideal co-founder. No CTO? No developer? Nobody doing the marketing? It fills whichever seat is empty, and it already knows what a company needs.
