About this event

Can AI teach you a language? It can explain, summarise, correct and help you practise, but can it keep you motivated or replace a real conversation?

In this hands-on session with Giselle Alvarez, founder of IFLI Languages and a language facilitator for over 30 years, we’ll share our experiences with AI, explore practical ways to use tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and NotebookLM to learn a language, and try them out together in pairs. You’ll leave with ready-to-use ideas and prompts, and a clearer view of what only people can give you.

All languages and levels welcome. The session is in English.

Practical classroom format with hands-on dynamics. Bring your laptop or phone. Limited to 18 in-person seats.

This session is held in a hands-on classroom format, featuring direct interaction and applied exercises. It is not a traditional lecture or panel. Due to the interactive nature and the room capacity at the Palace, seats are limited, and admission is granted on a first-come, first-served / approved basis.

When: Tuesday 10 November, 11:30-12:30

Where: PTW Palace — Rua Gomes Freire, 98, Lisbon · Idea Connect Room, 1st floor
